Our path began in 1946, when the brothers Kurt and Bruno Waasner founded the “Elektromechanischen Werkstätte” in Schlüsselfeld. Only six years later, the company had to move to Forchheim due to space constraints. At that time, the main focus was already on the development and production of core laminations for transformers and electric motors.
In the course of time our portfolio was extended and steadily expanded.
As a result, our high-quality products are known worldwide and we are a welcome partner in research projects.

Competence Process
From the idea to series production
In the first step, product- and process-relevant requirements are coordinated and manufacturing concepts and designs are developed together with our customers.
In this context, the latest CAD and CAQ software is used for product and process development.
The next step is the production of sample components for pre-series and test setups. Here it is possible to test the use of different materials and contours on the basis of a free design and to implement changes at short notice.
The production of single laminations and stacks is also possible as an option.
In order to develop optimum framework conditions, pre-series tools and peripheral equipment are manufactured in this process. This step takes place under near-series production conditions.
In order to optimize costs, pre-series production can be carried out cost-effectively by using small-series tools.
Even before the start of series production, a customer-specific, standardized quality assurance system is implemented. Highly complex stamping tools for series production are manufactured by the company’s own toolmaking department or by approved subcontractors. Our specialists also take care of any maintenance and repair work that may be required.
Im ersten Schritt erfolgen die Abstimmung der produkt- und prozessrelevanten Anforderungen sowie die Entwicklung von Fertigungskonzepten und -auslegungen gemeinsam mit unseren Kunden.
In diesem Rahmen kommt für die Produkt- und Prozessentwicklung neueste CAD- und CAQ-Software zum Einsatz.
Im Weiteren erfolgt dann die Herstellung von Musterbauteilen für Vorserien und Versuchsaufbauten. Hierbei ist es auf Basis einer freien Gestaltung möglich, den Einsatz verschiedener Materialien und Konturen zu testen und Änderungen kurzfristig umzusetzen.
Optional ist auch die Fertigung von Einzelblechen und Paketen möglich.
Zur Entwicklung optimaler Rahmenbedingungen erfolgt in diesem Zuge die Herstellung von Vorserienwerkzeugen und Peripherieanlagen. Dieser Schritt findet bereits unter seriennahen Produktionsbedingungen statt.
Zur Kostenoptimierung kann durch den Einsatz von Kleinserienwerkzeugen die Vorserienfertigung kostengünstig realisiert werden.
Noch vor Beginn der Serienfertigung erfolgt die Implementierung einer kundenspezifischen, standardisierten Qualitätssicherung. Die Herstellung hochkomplexer Stanzwerkzeuge für die Serienfertigung erfolgt durch den firmeneigenen Werkzeugbau oder freigegebene Zulieferer. Unsere Spezialisten übernehmen auch die anfallenden Wartungs- und Reparaturarbeiten.
